Can Black Americans learn anything from the Nelson Mandela experience?
I don’t think so! I admire his love and determination for his people’s liberation and the acceptance of the White South Africans to work together moving forward since their capture and land taken because they lost out on educating themselves like the White South Africans did who originally came from England.
Our situation is different because we were made and born into servitude. So, no land was ever taken from us.
I remember in my teen age years it was a common slogan, Free Mandela, Free Mandela in the Black American communities. Back then we thought that we were Afro-Americans.
I did too until God showed me that we are a new race of people.
