St Nicholas was born during the third century in what is not Turkey, He came from a very wealthy, Christian family and as an only child he was raised as a devout christianm. He spent most of his time practicing his faith and serving the poor. Many days he could be found sharing what he had giving them his cothes. He particularily focused on the children.

An epidemic struck his small village and killed many people including his parent. Now, he was an orphan, but he inherited the families' vast fortune. He continued to help the needy and with his vas inheritance, he was able to help even more. He no longer wore his fine clothes and gave them away too.

At Chritmas time, Nicholas would leave small gifts on the door steps of each child in the small village. The children did not know where the gifts came from, but they were alwways surprised.

Once a certain man was about to abandon his three daughters to a iife if sin because he could not provide them with a suitable dowry. Nicholas heard about the problem and tossed a pouch full of gold ttrough the man's window one night, thus ensuring that the man's daughtee had an adequate dowry. When it was time for the second daughter, Nicholas did the same thing. The greatful man kept watch to catch the person who did such a selfless deed. When it came time for the third daughter to marry, the father recognized Nicholas and thanked him endlessly. He was given the name Santa Claus as people retold the stories over and over.

Nicholas became a bishop of the Catholic Church, and a great bacilica was built over his tomb. Many years later, he was was declared a Saint by the church. His city became famous as well. There are many traditions of Saint Nicholas celebrated through out Europe and the rest of the world.

Saint Nichalos teaches us to have a generous heart. Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus.

So there is some truth to Christmas gift giving! I wish that we could limit the amount of gifts people and our kids expected to no more than 1 or 3. Ha! Buying Christmas presents so stressful and let's not forget expensive!

No, Virginia for the last time, there is no Santa Claus!

The myth of Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick/Kris Kringle/Santa and his stable of flying reindeer and team of elves is just that … myth, much of which is rooted in European folklore.

Our people are brainwashed to the point that we wouldn't know the truth if it was right in front of us. If the Europeans can lie about good ole Santa, they can lie about everything else but too many of us still believe that white is right.

Our black people need to stop getting it twisted, stop being a fool and they definitely need to stop feeding into the lies.

The Turks back in the time of St Nicholas had dark skin. They still are. When we stop thinking of the world as a white world and realize that 9.0 ofthe world i s dark then we will be better off. How about this myth---"White people" are Black too. They just don't have enough melinen because they were trapped by the ice for hundreds of thousands of year and there were no designated races until 1850 and a German named Blunenbourge decided to make a list. Talking about truth---THERE ARE NO WHITE PEOPLE. They called themelves white and yu help perpetuate THAT MYTH.

SEE, I DIDN'T USE 1 CURSE WORD.

The Raindeer joined the celeration when the man wrote The Night Before Christmas for his sick daughter. it is a happy story. When I was little, I was always surprisws when I got up Christmas morning and I never found one gift before christmas. My parents made the myth very real for us and it didnot damage me one bit. I love Christmas. Tradition iswonderful.

It has not been my experience as i traveled the world, The U S is the only country that identifies people by color. They identify people by country regardlass of the color. I was An American in Spain, Italy, Egypt etc. To identify a dark person as white is stupid. How can you be dark white? The reason for that is to prove the majority/minority theory. They just make them some new white people when they get scared, such as Vietnemese, laosion etc. Why do you support FOX NEWS?

Sis. Thomansena, It is argued that the Christmas season is an "Innocent" & "Harmless" event for children and adults. I beg to differ! I know most people say "It's all about the people being happy, safe and secure and family and friends getting together in a form of peace and unity. In fact Christmas represents, for me, all that is not Christmas spirited: What do decorated evergreen trees, holly, mistletoe, yule logs, a jolly plump man in a fur-lined red suit, sleighs and flying reindeer have to do with the birth of Jesus Christ?

Christmas is nowhere mentioned in the Bible. This is rather obvious, but most people never give it a second thought. The books of the New Testament cover 30+ years of Jesus Christ’s life, then another 30+ years of the early Church following His death and resurrection, but nowhere do we find any hint of a Christmas celebration or anything remotely like it.

December 25 was actually the birthdate of wicked ruler Nimrod who was born during the last 300 years of the civilization of Moses and ushered in a period where laws brought by the divine servant were done away with. These celebrations are pagan celebrations and celebrations of this wicked king mentioned in the Bible.

Now if you choose to continue feeding into the hype and hysteria, that's on you, but the Christmas holiday is not for us as Black people. We shouldn't miss the real gifts ( ourselves ) and what we have to offer each other. We should want whatever goodness does come out of our children to be for the right reasons. We should want them to be people who are simply good and kind and honest 24/7, as we try to be.
