I was one of the firsts to make hair a million dollar business. I named my company and products Madame CJ Walker. With development in hair tools and hair and scalps products I innovated style for women of color. I was born Sarah Breedlove on December 23, 1867. Throughout my lifetime I wanted to improve other ways women of color could wear their hair in flattering styles, and discovered a tool how women could straighten their hair. My booming business soared, making me a Woman of Hair, and a Woman of Business. I faced some trying times, but I continued and never gave up. Often, I tested my own products on my own hair. With determination and continued focus I kept going. I became a millionaire with work, but I kept trying never giving up ...cause I'm a woman.
