A Malaysia Airlines passenger plane was struck down by a surface-to-air-missile on Thursday, July 17, 2014. The plane was near the Ukraine-Russian border was said to been carrying 295 passengers and 15 crew members. All of the passengers aboard and crew are believed to be dead as no survivors have surfaced in the latest news media. The defining of who set the missile is denied by Russia and the Ukraine, but it speculated it may have been an act of terrorists. As to whether there were Americans on the plane will require more investigations of the passengers listed, but some news sources have released at 23 Americans were aboard. The aircraft was completely destroyed and it plunged with the missile explosion before it's crash. The horrific scene showed bodies scattered everywhere.
