Yum which is a food chain of McDonalds has been claimed responsible for selling outdated meat to it's local McDonald's Food restaurant chains. According to recent news sources Yum apologized to customers when one of it's meat suppliers was shut down after some regulations were violated of mixing old meat with new fresher meat. The report was discovered by reporters who disclosed the use of old meat with fresh meat. In addition, Yum has discontinued any connections with it's supplier, Shanghai Husi Food Company and stated they will no longer be using them to fill their meat orders. In a statement Yum said "We will not tolerate any violations of government laws from our suppliers..." Yum also had their KFC and Pizza Hunt seal up any meat that were furnished by the Husi Meat Company. The Shanghai Food and Drug Administration shut down operations of Husi on Sunday, July 20, 2014 after the news report aired the story of the tainted and fresh meat mixture.
