How many of you are familiar with the Stockholm syndrome?
It has to do with a robbery that went bad and the people were taken hostage. It was a stalemate between the authorities and the robbers for months, but long enough that the hostages/captives begin to identify with their captors. The captives became uncooperative and hostile to the authorities who were there to rescue them.
It was a phenomenon to the board of psychiatry and psychology. They were so interested in this phenomenon that they created a study called The Stockholm Syndrome.
I brought this up because today I was talking to a few hard-core Christians. When I tell them that since prophets are racially different and therefore our prophet must be a Black American as we are.
He fought like hell to explain why prophets are racially different and that it really doesn’t mean anything. All my pastor friend was trying to do was write over the rules with his own rules to justify upholding the Jewish Jesus.
I said to him what I see is a Black American pastor identifying with the old slave masters’ things and the slave master is our captors! Black Americans submissively identifies with White America through White America’s religion and White America’s belief that the Jewish Jesus is God. What White Americans believe is the same thing Black Americans believes and that is identifying which your captors. Instead of trying to get away from the people has historically hurried us we to stay with them.
