How a quiet perfect world becomes untangles with a only one who has a little curiosity? You can find out of course in this post apocalypse chiller with a twist. After a 12 year old undercover secrets of a past world he learns there's more than the perfect world all turned underground. All memories of the world societies have been erased to a scientific world watched closed in everyday lives of people. The movie moves a bit slow at first, but the action charges after two teens want to know what's hidden about themselves. Great action and the movie causes you to think about present conditions in the real world where The Giver may be just another name for Big Brother. The movie took over 18 years to finish! Maybe they were being watched? Science fiction fans will enjoy it, and a few others who like the mystery of opening a closed box!!! Will it be the red pill or the blue pill? The Giver will have a shot.... Well, don't just sit there reading this it starts on August 15, 2014!

Hey Butterfly!
No, I haven't read the book, but reviews I've read said the movie isn't as detailed as the book. The movie got some fair reviews, but didn't quiet get the response it was looking for opening night. However, it may do well when it's released on DVD! :)
