Today is Poet's Day
Poet's express! Resound!
And Voice!
I AM A PEOPLE
O' hark the call to hear
that
I am a people.
I drive on the life way with
different roads,
paths,
and juggle with
tracking in rooted jungles.
I am a people.
I cultivate a ground of
dirt and soil
and in the wintry garments
I wrap my cold shoulders.
In earth I share words
with other people
who have shovels and
garden instruments for
their tilling
have
cause or effect.
I am a people.
From toe
to foot
to leg
and ankle
to thigh
and midriff
and arms
and from neck
to face.
I am a poet.
