I first asked each of them where they Christians and they proudly said yes. But, of course I knew that they were. North Carolina is a Bible belt state. All Confederate/slave states of Bible belt states.

I picked three people, two men and one woman, and asked them if they mind if I tell them something. They said no with a smile on the faces.

Any way, I asked them did they know that prophets are racially different. They looked at me with wondering eyes. I am used to the expression so I would immediately follow up and say well Jesus was a Jewish man and Mohammed was an Arab man and right away they catch what I’m saying.

I am also used to the expression when they understand what I’m saying. The expression turns to contempt for me. When I asked them if they understand they would tell me they hear me but they don’t understand me.

I would then ask them if they understood what it means that prophets are racially different. Their answers would be no. I would tell them that it means our prophet must be a Black American as we are! By this time they are turning away from me and don’t want to hear anything else. But as they are walking away I would say to them remember that prophets are racially different and that the Jewish Jesus can not be our prophet because he did not come from us and we did not come from him.

Tell me what you all think?
