I was invited to a documentary; soul food junkies yesterday evening at Novant Health!
The documentary was about soul food; what Black Americans eat and call it soul food. The video explored how soul food originated and how it is prepared that causes many illnesses of Black Americans.
The video was a perfect example of food discrimination in the Black communities. In the video the Black communities were described as food deserts since many nutritional foods like vegetables and fruits are not in the Black communities. Any way, many solutions were put forth such as Black communities growing their own foods.
At the end of the program I said to the coordinators that none of the solutions mentioned is workable. I asked them to imagine that God waved a wand and all of a sudden Black Americans were in a country of our own to go for ourselves what we have these same problems? They look at me with open eyes because they had never thought of Black Americans being a free and sovereign people in a country of our own. I said that Black America’s only permanent solution to all our problems in White America is that we must desire to become a sovereign people in a country of our own.
It is obvious that only God can cause something like this to happen and therefore our belief in God must change!
