Wedding vows were made by 2000 couples in one the largest weddings in Brazilian's history. Couples united with their vows On November 30, 2014 in a large arena with over 12,000 people attending. The mass wedding is an annual event was promoted by local authorities to help those who cannot afford a wedding. Couples who make $1,000 dollars or less a year were permitted to participate. The huge marriage ceremony took place at the Maracanazinho Arena in Rio. Many couples who have lived together finally were able to be married as the ceremonies were presided by local civil judges and bishops and a Roman Christian pastor. The hundreds of couples and their company made it one of the largest wedding in Brazilian's history. The day is called "Dia do sim" or " Day of I Do"
