Gurvercinlik Valley in Cappadocia
A group of tourists traveling by hot air balloon were subjects of a crash on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 leaving 9 of the tourists injured, but fatally wounded a on ground tourist from Malaysia. Cause of the accident is still under investigation. The accident occurred shortly after take off from Guvercinlik Valley in Cappadovia. Of the Chinese and Malaysian tourists two were hospitalized and one is reported to be in critical condition. The accident happened in the early hours of the morning around 6:15 a.m. In 2009 a similar accident took 1 life and injured 20. Balloons are popular tourists attraction for that region of country in Turkey.
