Adena Village, & Boomer, West VA

All the mixed elements of fire, oil, river and train delrailment caused havoc over two towns in West Virginia.   The residents of Adena Village and Boomer, West Virgina were urged to evacuate as a train carrying over 100 tankers of oil exploded in a accident.  The flames also followed flowing oil into a nearby river and made it much more difficult for firefighters to control.  Flames and fumes light the night sky and explosions keep the quiet communities at an awakening of booming sounds.   Sources said the accident occured around 1:30 A.M. putting the two neighboring towns in harms way, they were told to leave their homes due to the toxic fumes from the burning oils.   At least 14 wagons of oil fell into the Kanawha River and a nearby water supply station was shutdown which served over 2,000 customers.  The burning flames continued for several hours into the next day, and all happening during a snow storm which cause additional difficulty to extinquish the mounts of blazes.   No fatalities were reported, but one person did suffer from inhaling toxic fumes was being treated.
