Harry, when The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was risen, he shared with his followers, "I am not teaching you Islam as taught in the Middle East. I am giving you a new Islam." The Honorable Elijah Muhammad in his wisdom, taught us how to respect and love our blackness, which, of course, the Sunni and ****te Muslims say, “You know, this is not Islam, Islam does not deal with color.” No, not in its pure teachings, but as Black people in America we have to deal with the plague of white supremacy.

Elijah Muhammad saw the plight of black people in America and how Islam would civilize us and solve the problems that we were having. And so he taught us how to love ourselves, how to respect and honor the way Allah created us and this is what propelled us and made us feel that Islam was ours. It wasn’t an Arab religion that we were accepting.

So when one accepts Islam under the Honorable Elijah Muhammad's teachings, they don’t accept an Arab religion, they accept their own religion, the natural religion of the human being. That means that we could see an Arab, a Pakistani or a Caucasian Muslim and see them as they are but respect ourselves as we are because, in Islam, there is no Pakistani culture or Arab culture or Somali culture, there’s only the culture of Islam.

Ms. Muhammad,

This is what I said. How can you believe of yourself that you are an intelligent woman to believe that Fard Muhammad can be the savior of Black Americans when it is clear that Mr. Fard Muhammad is not a Black American as we are, but is clearly a foreigner?

You are ducking what I said. My question is pointed at the falsity of Mr. Fard Muhammad and not Elijah. I said how can you believe a foreigner like Mr. Fard Muhammad can be Black America’s savior when Mr. Fard Muhammad is not a Black American as we are? We know that all the prophets/saviors of a people were the same race as the people.
