To truly have the wonderful experience of fasting one is to truly be devoted to keeping his or her fast as pleasing unto the Lord.  After you have selected  fasting dates the next step is the length of time you want to keep the fast;  along with a fasting location.  If it possible,  have your fast from interuptions.  This does not mean you cannot carry on everyday duties, but a more "potent steady fast" would be to have your fast alone if at all possible in a certain place.

Search:  Find a place, or time away from the every day routines you do if this is possible.  If not, set aside the number of hours you will fast and have that time designated to keeping your mediation and fast pure.  As for food; and or water intake, you can set them in hours, all day, half days, certain limited hours of a day or weeks.

Have the meditation and prayers uninterrupted and in secret.   When you have outlined the basics of the timing you are almost ready to begin to encounter a most extraordinary force of God's presence with your spirit.  Good planning aids in your fast lasting and attributes to your sincerity to carry it through.   Patience is virtue, so be seriously thinking of this time with God.   I'll return with more tips on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.  Until then prepare you mind for meditation fasting and prayers with the suggestions I'll give in the Sackcloths.

"Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye

even to me with all your heart, and with fasting,

and with weeping, and with mourning....and rend

your heart."

Selected from Joel 2:12-13 KJV
