My question is, why is there so much fear of a judgment day if your sins are already forgiven and forgotten?

Helen, It is probable that the fear is among the many whom have not confessed sins. It is also knowledge to fear God. However, those who have repented, and are forgiven are rejoicing at the thought and are watching and waiting for the Day of the Lord to come. They are not afraid, for God is with them.

That sounds great the way you explain it, but the majority of people I've met view the book of revelation as a frightful and horrible way to end mankind. Why would a person want to remain alive just to bury the rotting dead.

1. By Al'Asr (the time).

2. Indeed, mankind is in loss,

Except those who believe in Monotheism and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the Truth to order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (AlMa'ruf) which Allaah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (AlMunkar) which Allaah has forbidden, and recommend one another to patience for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allaah's Cause during the delivery of Deen AlIslaam(Monotheism).
