Former President of Egypt Hosni Mubarak has been sentenced to serve 3 years in jail on a recent retrial of corruption charges.   The original conviction was overturned on January 13, 2015 over legal procedures.   This  one of last cases pending over the former president who was ousted from power in a 2011 uprising.    In addition, Murbarack's two sons will serve a term of 4 years in prison in the same case which centers around the embezzlement of $14m earmarked of renovation of presidential palaces.   The 87 year former leader is 87 years old and remains at the Maadi Military Hospital in Cairo.
