Prison employee Joyce Mitchell "provided some form of equipment or tools" to two convicted murderers who escaped in upstate New York, Clinton County District Attorney Andrew Wylie told CNN.
Wylie earlier said that investigators were looking at surveillance video from a gas station about a mile from Clinton Correctional Facility. Tracking dogs picked up the scent of prisoners Richard Matt and David Sweat at the station and followed it east toward the town of Cadyville.
