Glory Johnson The Jilted, Pregnant, & Soon To Be Ex of Fellow WNBA Brittany Griner Demands $20K In Support
Brittney Griner may have believed that she was washing her hands of Glory Johnson when she moved to annul their 28-day marriage, but it appears that this was only the beginning of what could potentially be 18 years of bitter feuding between the future
co-parents.
According to ESPN, Johnson, who is currently pregnant with twins, is requesting monthly spousal support payments to the tune of $20,000.
Court documents filed last month in Maricopa County, Arizona on the Tulsa Shock forward’s behalf reveal that in addition to the hefty monthly payments, Johnson is also requesting a $10,000 advancement towards her attorney’s fees. Legal representative, Stasy Click, argues that Griner has “far superior control over the family’s financial resources” and that Johnson is “without the necessary financial means to pay for legal representation in this matter.”
Currently, Johnson is on a reduced salary from the WNBA due to her pregnancy and claims that she was also unable to play overseas this winter, which is why she is requesting spousal support. She also argues that wedding expenses, furnishing the home she once shared with Griner and IVF costs have drained her financially.
