Second to None: Russian Air Defense System Unmatched

 

Commander of the Russian Air Force Colonel General Viktor Bondarev claimed that Russia’s air defense system is second to none.

 

"We are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Russian Air Defense forces. Today the air defense forces are part of Russia’s Air Force. Since 1998 we have shared the common cause. We have significantly strengthened each other. I believe that nowadays across the world there is no air defense system comparable to the one Russia created," Bondarev said during a meeting with air defense forces veterans.

He also stated that after the integration of the air defense system into the air forces, the capabilities of the Russian Air Force have significantly improved.
