'Must be roasting' Charles jokes with costumed giant lobster and starfish at seaside trip

PRINCE Charles was in a cheeky mood as he stopped to chat with two people in giant starfish and lobster costumes during a Royal visit to a surfing beach today.

Charles, 66, met the larger-than-life cartoon costume characters Sally the Starfish and Larry the Lobster on Fistral beach in Newquay, Cornwall.

The Prince, who was accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall, paused for a brief chat with the pair - stooping down to speak to Sally and shaking hands with Larry.

Speaking afterwards, Larry, whose real name is Alex Milden, 25, from Truro, said: "The Prince commented that I must be very warm inside the suit today.

"He was very interested and supportive of our work at the Marine Conservation Society and I explained we were wearing the costumes to highlight the problem of marine litter."
