ANTI-GLOBILZATION RALLY ATTRACTED THOUSANDS IN SPAIN

Protestors in the thousands gathered to participate in a anti-globization ralley in Barcelona on Saturday, July 25, 2015.  During the protests many clashed with police which led to arrests of at least twenty-nine people.  Among those arrested where ones from Belgium, Sweden, Slovenia and Brittian.  In addition, many who took buses to the protest areas were detained and insighted by border police that rioting would not tolerated.   The protestors wanted to rally because they were against UN Leaders plans to liberalize energy and financial markets.  Security around the city included 8,500 hundred officers along with combat jets and ground missiles in case of a possible terrorist attack.

 The large group of protestors included 20,000 to 50,000 people.   Although at least five clashes mounted, not fatalties or serious injuries were report.  Local news did indicate police did fire rubber bullets at some of the unruly protestors.  Friday night's protests was the highest peak of riots as some demonstrators threw garbage and rampaged city blocks.
