Photo published for Lump found on woman's ovary turned out to be her 10cm-long unborn TWIN

Forty-five-year-old British mother Jenny Kavanagh went to the doctor to have a contraceptive coil implanted, but when an ultrasound was performed, they found something shocking inside her left ovary.

There was a large mass growing inside of her which could have potentially killed her if it ruptured.

When doctors examined the growth further, they found it wasn’t a tumor at all, but rather an unborn twin that had been growing inside of her since birth.

The twin even had a face, a tooth, an eye, and long black hair.

How could it have taken so long for her to discover the mass? Kavanagh explained to the Mirror that she avoided doctors and had never seen a gynecologist for any of her pregnancies.

In order to get the twin removed, Kavanagh underwent a three-hour surgery. She commented on the shocking news:

“I try not to think of it too much because I don’t want to feel sad about it.”

“If I’m honest, I did feel sad when I first saw it, because of the size and weight of it, it had already been likened to a baby.”

“But I try not to feel sad about it. I try to remember that it had no heart and no brain.”

After the surgery was completed, she asked the doctors to give her a photo of her unborn twin so she could show it to her mother:

“When I showed the picture to my mum she was really sad — [she] saw it as her unborn child, and my unborn twin.”

Kavanagh has made a full recovery and will likely encourage her own children to make sure they go to the doctors early on.
