SEPTEMBER
September begins on the same day of the week as December every year, because there are 91 days in September, October and November, which is a multiple of seven (the number of days in the week). No other month ends on the same day of the week as September in any year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September
When counting numbers in Latin you find that
7 = septem (ber) 8 = octo (ber) 9 = novem (ber) 10 = decem (ber).
For what reason would man want to change the calender around?
Sister Helen, I've heard so many teach that the 12 planets somehow coincide with the 12 disciples of Jesus:
"These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him." ~ Matthew 10:2-4 New International Version (NIV).
However, if we add Mary Magdalene to this list (as Mary Madgalene was also a disciple of Jesus), that would mean that at one time we only had 13 calendar months in a year instead of 12.
Just something that popped into my brain...
