An 11-year-old boy had an opportunity to test out his aspirations to become a physician when he helped his mother deliver his baby brother. On Tuesday, Kenyarda Dukes realized she was in active labor and there was no time to get to a hospital. Her son James was the only person home at the time and he stayed cool under pressure.

WSBVTV.com reports:

“I called 911. They told me what to do. To get towels and wrap the baby up,” he said.

James did just that, welcoming his new brother, Royal Dukes, into the world, weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.

“Words can’t express how proud I am. He is the epitome of when you tell your son that ‘you’re the man of the hous,e so you have to take care of those responsibilities,’ and he did it to a ‘T,'” the boys’ father said.

James says he just did what he had to do.

Yup, that's what the good doc said he was planning to mentor the child to be. Excellent! I was thinking if that were me and my 10 year old son, OH ME. He hates touching anything icky so lets not speak of child birth matter.
