TAKE RETREAT
My Darling!
What brings Thee to my door?
Is is not LOVE that rings my doorbell?
And the chimes that rattles sweet the sounds?
Your knocking is as my heartbeats;
I answer the challenge with quickly
moving feet!
COME IN MY LOVE!
Fling into my heart
as a doorknob turns, and
as hinges squeak.
What is this now?
Do not hesitate;
Enter and take
a lover's retreat.
My heart I hold out to give Thee
on strands of pearls..
My pen bleeds with droplet of ink....
I marvel at a miracle.
It is my pleasant passion to answer
