Celebrating the Second Anniversary of the
2014 Guam Community Tour and Regional Summit

On this day, two years ago, WHIAAPI led the historic 2014 Guam Community Tour and Regional Summit. Following the Tour and Regional Summit, WHIAAPI, in collaboration with The Office of Insular Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior, launched the Pacific Islander Task Force to better address the needs of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders. The Task Force is now comprised of 11 federal agencies that have worked to increase opportunity and access to federal programs for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders.

Today, we reflect on the progress that the federal government has made to improve the lives of Pacific Islanders. We're proud to release the Pacific Islander Task Force Accomplishments Report, detailing the successes and future plans of the Pacific Island Task Force member agencies.
