READ THE LABELS
FDA has changed the appearances of food labels to be issued on products. The old label has been improved to give a new look in a few changes. Serving sizes and calories will be larger and there were will be two columns listing the nutrition benefits. Another change will reflect the serving size per cup, as on the old it was the serving size per container. Manufacturers will be required to have the new labels on their products by July 26, 2018. The FDA hopes that the new labels will give consumers more information of what is contained in the products and more easier to understand and follow.
