FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE! FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!

On Friday, September 2, 2016, NAMI is leading a National Call-In Day for Senate Mental Health Reform.

The House passed mental health reform, the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act, last month 422-2. It is now time to demand that the Senate vote on S. 2680, the Mental Health Reform Act of 2016.

We are asking that on September 2, you call your Senators to let them know that time is running out. Mental health advocacy is not about political parties. It's about getting good care for the 60 million Americans who live with mental health conditions.

To call your Senators, call (202) 224-3121, Press #1, enter your zip code.

Our suggested message to use is "As a constituent of the Senator, I would like him/her to demand a vote on S. 2680, the Mental Health Reform Act. The House passed Mental Health Reform 422-2. The Senate should act. There is a mental health crisis in this country. This bill will help. Thank you."
