FBI Releases Documents in Hillary Clinton E-Mail Investigation

Today the FBI is releasing a summary of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s July 2, 2016 interview with the FBI concerning allegations that classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on a personal e-mail server she used during her tenure. We also are releasing a factual summary of the FBI’s investigation into this matter. We are making these materials available to the public in the interest of transparency and in response to numerous Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Appropriate redactions have been made for classified information or other material exempt from disclosure under FOIA. Additional information related to this investigation that the FBI releases in the future will be placed on The Vault, the FBI’s electronic FOIA library.

No smoking gun unless you think 39 lapses of memory is significant.

Did you know that, 39 times during her interview with the FBI, Hillary Clinton claimed she didn’t recall key events, such as meetings, documents she had signed, etc.?

Do you recall that this is exactly the rope-a-dope tactic she and Hubby Bubba have used in the past? Hold things up as long as possible, conveniently not remember as much as possible, and then dismiss any further investigation as old news and victimization (“Why do they just keep badgering us?”)

From David Rutz’s article at Washington Free Beacon (and reposted in its entirety due to the article’s brevity):

Hillary Clinton told the FBI she didn’t “recall” 39 times according to the investigation report about her email server practices released Friday.

According to CNN correspondent Evan Perez, the response generally came to questions about “whether or not she was aware of the propriety of using her unclassified system to discuss some of these issues” and whether she’d gotten security training to use such a system to discuss sensitive programs.

He recounted one “remarkable” example, where Clinton and other State Department officials were in discussion about a drone strike in 2011, and Clinton professed ignorance about how to talk about the topic over a Christmas holiday.

“What’s remarkable is the secretary of state says that she wasn’t aware of what the rules are for handling this type of stuff over Christmas holidays, because, as you know, over the holidays people are traveling, they don’t have access to their classified SCIFS, their secure systems to communicate, and she said she didn’t really know, there was no protocols for dealing with that,” he said. “That’s kind of shocking, frankly, that you don’t know that you can’t talk about something so sensitive as a drone program.”

It seems evident that one of two things is true:

-Hillary Clinton lied repeatedly to the FBI;

-Hillary Clinton truly does not remember these things, either because she does not have the mental capacity to do so or because she now has personal issues which have reduced her capacity to do so.

Which of these makes you comfortable with four years of Hillary Clinton as President?
