The will to survive and free will are entirely two different things.

The will to survive is the same as instinct. The instinct to live/survive is a built-in factor in all people by the creator. An example is the email and system/the white corpuscles that protect the body from germs and viruses.
The will to survive is automatic/involuntary factor and is absolutely not free well. The will to survive is not the same as exercising free will that God gave to every people when God created those people.

Free will is mental and spiritual. The first qualification of free will is to be born free. If you are not born free you cannot have free will unless God frees you and then install free will into you.

Black Americans were not born free. Black Americans were all born slaves and slaves do not have free will. I am the only Black American thus far who has free will because God installed it into me. Only from me can other Black Americans receive God's free will since I am Black America's first genuine anointed prophet.
