Freedom for Black Americans must mean sovereignty. Sovereignty means having a country of our own. Freedom for Black Americans must mean that we have our own prophet who has to be of our race a Black American. Freedom for Black Americans must mean having our own Black American religion and not the religions of other people. Freedom for Black Americans must mean having our own Scriptures. The White man’s Christian Bible is not our experience and therefore it cannot be our Scriptures. Likewise, the Arabian people’s Holy Quran is not our experience and therefore it cannot be our Scriptures.
Our Scriptures we will write ourselves because it will be about our experience we are now having with the same God that the Arabian and Jewish people had when they wrote their Scriptures.
