I just got back from our YMCA trip to Alabama. I visited the 16th St., Baptist Church!
Alabama is one of the states that will become Black America’s country in my lifetime.
I saw where the bomb went off that killed those four girls and blinded one.
We then had a short discussion about the day of the bombing, Black and White relationship today. There was this man who spoke that was present the day of the bombing and he said the actions the police took ahead of the bombing showed that they had afford knowledge.
I raise my hand and asked him what he think is the permanent solution to all of this, the Black and White relationship he said when Jesus comes back. Most of the people in the auditorium applauded and the discussion abruptly ended.
I took the opportunity to walk over to him and told him that our permanent solution is that God is going to give us a country and the state of Alabama is going to be our country.
At the civil rights Museum I was able to pick off a few students. I threw some questions at them based on the exhibits.
Then we went to the Negro League Museum. We all had a nice time, but for me it was also educational and an opportunity to spread God’s light in Alabama.
What say you!
