Thank You Marie L. Yovanovitch. Thanks Steve.

You're welcome Ron. What do you make of this statement that Yovanovich makes on page 8?

"I have proudly promoted and served American interests as the representative of the American people and six different presidents over the last three decades."

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Saturday, October 12th 2019 at 9:09AM

Sounds like a serious dedicated civil servant.

Steve Williams Saturday, October 12th 2019 at 10:22AM

She sounds to me like just what Trump said she is, a bad woman. She seems to think she's greater than the sum of 6 Presidents.

Ron, why did Obama nominate Yovanovitch ambassador to Ukraine in May of 2016?

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, October 14th 2019 at 5:20PM

YOUR WORDS: She sounds to me like just what Trump said she is, a bad woman. She seems to think she's greater than the sum of 6 Presidents.

MY REPLY: What makes you think that Steve?

YOUR QUESTION: Ron, why did Obama nominate Yovanovitch ambassador to Ukraine in May of 2016?

MY REPLY: "Marie L. Yovanovitch, a career member of the Foreign Service, class of Minister-Counselor, currently serves as Dean of the School of Language Studies at the Department of State's Foreign Service Institute, a position she has held since 2014," the White House said. From 2008 to 2011 she was U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, and also served as U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan from 2005 to 2008.

Marie Yovanovitch worked in Ukraine in 2001-2004 as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.Since joining the Foreign Service in 1986, she has also served at posts in Canada, Russia, Somalia, and the United Kingdom. Marie Yovanovitch received a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.S. from the National War College.

Here's why I think Marie Yovanovitch was a bad woman Ron. Because she forgot who was boss.

Steve Williams Monday, October 14th 2019 at 5:52PM

Obama put Yovanovitch in Ukraine at the critical time, at the start of the 2016 Ukraine election collusion.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, October 14th 2019 at 10:20PM

No Marie did not forget The Constitution of the United States of America, the Law of The Land.

Steve Williams Tuesday, October 15th 2019 at 8:53AM

The Constitution gives us a President Ron. It does not give us a 33 year career foreign service weanie.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Tuesday, October 15th 2019 at 1:46PM

In order for the country to continue to be The World leader, this country depends on dedicated Civil Servants like Marie, who serves this country for 20, 25 and 30 years and not some four year term, like some of our presidents.
