I apologize....BUT.....when I was a child, my father had a station in Italy....

....we as children went on field trips to many Italian Shrines, Cathedrals and places of latinWorship

In Padua we were shown a darkened statue in Bronze of a Madonna

.....Madonna is a word from Italian..... ma donna,...... meaning 'my lady'.

Another famous landmark to the 'blackMa Donna' is in Venice....a Bascilica

.....As a Child I found all of the Latin romanChristian paintings and architecture big and beautiful.
