HARRY, Rabbinic tradition's understanding is that all of the teachings found in the Torah (both written and oral) were given by God through the prophet Moses, some at Mount Sinai and others at the Tabernacle, and all the teachings were written down by Moses, which resulted in the Torah that exists today.
Moses is Abraham's descendant through Abraham's great grandson Levi. Moses's father is Amran. Amran's father is Kehath. Kehath's father is Levi. Levi's father is Jacob.

Exodus 6:18. It says: The sons of Ko¡ähath were Am¡äram, Iz¡ähar, Heb¡äron, and Uz¡äzi¡¤el.
Exodus 6:20. It says: Now Am¡äram took Joch¡äe¡¤bed, his father¡¯s sister, as his wife. She bore him Aaron and Moses. So Am¡äram was Moses¡¯ father and Joch¡äe¡¤bed was Moses¡¯ mother.
