I know this is a website for the black community to fellowship with each other, but I wanted to briefly touch on how good God has been to me. This week that past, I went to a conference that my church as well as other churches within our fellowship in Wilmington, NC. It was truly off the hook, and the Spirit of God had rested on each person within that room. The conference was held at UNC Wilmington, in which I also like to thank for allowing us to use their facility. Wednesday night was when the conference started, and began by prayer. We prayed for the black community family issues such as fatherless homes, marriages, broken homes, unsaved love ones and other topics I cannot think of from the top of my head. After we interceded on each topic with family, we spoke together a confession, coming from 1 Cor. I cannot remember the chapter, but I do remember it had to do with the love for God's people. Thursday night, one of the pastors from our fellowship spoke from the book of Acts chapter 4: 1-4. The day of Pentecost. The message was relating a power surge to the Holy Spirit. After the message, we praised and worshiped God, and the Holy Spirit hit me like hail pouring down from the heavens. The effects of the Holy Spirit was so powerful, so overwhelming, I could barely keep myself from staying silent. Hallelujahs were all that filled my mouth, and eventually speaking in tongues came out. I felt something was coming my way. Friday night, Bishop Barbara Amos spoke the word about Paul and Silas, and the place was filled with his glory and wonder. People stood on their feet welcoming his Spirit and presence from the message Bishop Amos gave. This conference was amazing, and I thank the Lord for his Spirit and his everlasting love for his people.

Had you been speaking in tongues before that moment? I was wondering because I was talking with my cousin regarding the Holy Spirit.
