Do Black folks believe in aliens?

Dr. Ahmad Glover · Saturday, August 2nd 2008 at 12:11AM · 609 views
What is your view?

As a group...do we (Blacks in America) believe in outer space creators or do we see the alien issue as something strange (White folk's issue)?

Are other beings visiting humans or are we all alone on this planet?

The nations is very evenly split on the topic...what about us Black folks)?

P. S. Have any of you had an encounter?

Thank God I've never had an encounter, but I do believe there has got to be other life forms out there in the universe... I'm not sure if they have visited us or not, but I'm thinking they must not have unless they are so far advanced that they know to keep us preserved and untampered with...

I do believe in Aliens, there have been studies in which the Government has experimented on Aliens, they did a special about the Aliens on Unsolved Mysteries, they sell it on DVD and there are books that talk about it, one book in particular: Behold a Pale Horse by William Cooper

Great question, brother. Where did you come up w/that one ... outter space?

Just kidding. I certainly believe in aliens BUT I'm sure the main reason most Blacks don't is -- here I go again -- b/c the Bible didn't tell them so! Nor the preacher. Nor their family. So, if the Bible said God created heaven and earth and didn't mention anything about Mars and Jupiter, we turn a deaf ear to it. It would bring into question everything they have been taught up until now.

I guess we're just arrogant that way.

Late.

What if the bible did have stories of possible alien visits: chariots of fire, folks going up into clouds, flying objects and such?

Harold Causey Saturday, August 2nd 2008 at 11:13AM

No!

Craig Amos Saturday, August 2nd 2008 at 11:24AM

You're a smart brother, Doc. I wasn't going to bring up the chariots 'cause I didn't think others would agree. Therefore, reinforcing my belief that there ARE aliens. That was quite simply recorded history that the writer didn't know what to make of it.

i think that many of us give the word 'aliens' another name. for us religious, we call them spirits or angels. whatever label is given i believe that there are other forces in our daily lives that are definitely protecting us and helping us get through the day. we hear about miracles and unexplainable events and sometimes we just brush them off. but in reality, if we read more on the topic, we'll find that these events have been happening since the beginning of time.

Deep...

What about dragons? If the year was 1211 B.C.E, how would you describe seeing an F15 firing an AIM-9 missile at a Mig-29? (By the way...we didn't have aircraft before the early 1900s...let alone aircraft that could shoot missiles at each other).

If I was raising my goats on the side on a hill and say something like that in 1211 B.C.E I would call it a flying beast that spit fire...but I'm just kooky that way:)

Gentleman, the issues you are raising are real and with us, knowing how to fish and more importantly having HOPE and keeping the FAITH a notch higher.

no, most do believe the white man is the devil! ha :-)

I think we believe more in spirits than alien's from other planets. I dont believe in space aliens nor do i like alien movies or other subjects like that. That's a funny thought though. You hardly see black people on the interviews when they do documentaries on space aliens and stuff, cause we would probably just laugh.

I have not personally had an encounter, but friends and acquaintances tell me that they have. I believe that it would be pretty shallow of me to think ( of us to think) that this life on earth is the only life that exists in the universe. I do believe that there is life elsewhere.

Is it life like we are? Maybe not. Probably not. But, I think that as we continue with our space exploration, more evidence will be revealed, not that I support the exploration of space. Those are billions of dollars that could be better spent elsewhere; however, since that’s we choose to do, I think in time, we will find evidence of the existence of life in other galaxies.

I have never had an encounter, at least to my knowledge, but I think it is very narrow minded to think that we are the only creations in the universe, etc.
