Comments versus blogs
When the blogging community first began to gain credibility as a new media form it was based on the premise that there were citizen journalists who had the capacity to formulate opinions and/or revelations about current news or social topics.
The medium gained even more steam when accomplished journalists, athletes, authors, political figures and the like began using the blogging format to further expand their audience or espouse personal opinions that they are normally inhibited from expressing in their normal or traditional capacity.
One of the sporting blog sites I write for has recently been excluded from official sporting events which they have traditionally had access to because the site had gone from one which had a diverse representation of quality bloggers to one of idiotic lunatics who post five and ten sentence entries as blogs. These entries usually have no real newsworthiness or social merit they are just asinine jibberish that some of the more lame subscribers to the site post for the sole purpose of trying to capture readers with fascinating headlines, only to disappoint us with moronic content when we actually arrive.
Personally, I make it a point to challenge the status quo whenever I write anything, as most of black America has been lulled to sleep by the mystics of their former slavemasters and has become a race of gullible consumers who stand for nothing and therfore fall for anything.
This forum had the potential to offer sincere debate and ideological introspection. Instead it has become fodder for moronic, asisnine, worthless jibberish by idiots and fools who offer nothing to the collective consciousness of black America other than to regurgitate the same ideologies, policies, practices and rituals that have caused us to arrive in our current condiiton.
Obviously when we have accomplished authors like Karen Hunter contributing and engaging unknowns like most of us, we have the opportunity to allow some of our greatest minds to influence and share informations with the common man/woman, whihc is the real tribute to the World Wide Web.
But then we have the knuckleheads who fill up the boards with stupid garbage which really amount to "please pat me on the back for being on your side" brown nosing Bible Toting Jesus Thumpers, who cannot formulate an original thought or ideal that doesn't cater to other blind, deaf and dumb masses of 'sheep'.
You know who you are, WRITE something worth reading or discussing or just meet each other in church and you can kiss each other's behinds there.
Now don't get upset when I don't immediately respond, I have a track that I have to finish up for release next weekend, but trust me, as soon as I get out of the studio, I'll be back to respond.
