Are African Americans the Deciding Factor In Obama Winning Presidency?

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of talk that more African Americans than ever are registered to vote, but there is a concern with them showing up at the November polls and actually voting. In addition many older African Americans believe that a black man shouldn't be president or at least that's what I'm hearing from some.

My question is do you believe that as African Americans, we can actually be the determining factor in Obama winning the presidency?

I have heard that there are over 400,000 non-registered African-Americans in Ohio alone. The number of votes that Kerry lost by in Ohio in '04 was less than 200,000. We can make the difference. The math is there. We need to register every voter possible and debunk all the devious rumors about who can and cannot vote.

I just shared that same thought with Roland Jenkins. I truly believe that we as a people will be he deciding factor on this election. I know people who are signing up for absentee ballots just to make sure that they don't miss their chance to to vote. We cant let anything stop us.

I agree, we definitely can make the difference and we all have to commit to calling our family members, friends, associates and anyone we can to support Obama. This campaign is going to get pretty nasty towards the end and we need to let our voting power speak out loud!
