It's So Ironic
I got up early one morning last year and completed the following piece. Later, while I was getting ready for work, my husband received a call from my daughter. She said that our grandson, who was five at the time, was taken from school by ambulance; he had difficulty breathing. As soon as my husband got off the phone and once he told me what happened, we both started praying for our grandson.
Later that evening we received a call from my daughter, and the first voice we heard was our grandson. He said he had been sick, but felt better and then he asked his granddad if he could come over to our house.
The doctors told my daughter that our grandson had an asthmatic episode. This was the first occurrence of asthma in our grandson, and we're praying that it will be the last.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)
The battle is the Lord,
But you’re standing on the front line.
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might,
Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Pray for your Loved Ones
Don’t ever give up.
Don’t ever give in.
Stand.
Praying for Loved Ones
It takes perseverance – a great deal of it in fact.
It takes faith – (remember the mustard seed – one of the tiniest seeds in the world. Jesus compares having faith the size of the mustard seed and being able to move a mountain. (Matthew 17:20)
Praying for Loved Ones
Takes a love that can see beyond their faults to the very heart of their need.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness
Pray for your Loved Ones.
Praying
For deliverance
From the spirits of
Anger
Fear
Rebellion
Doubt
Lust
Hate
Envy
Malice
Sickness of any kind
in body, soul or mind -
Takes strength,
courage and belief
That God will hear us
And Faith
That He will deliver them
Out of the hands of the enemy
Whose only desire is to
Steal
Kill
and destroy
Our hearts,
Our souls,
Our minds,
Our children,
Our husbands,
Our wives,
Our marriages,
Our Families
Even ourselves.
Take us out
Anyway he can.
Take Heart
For in the midst of this battle
We are never alone.
For
‘it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.’ (Matthew 18:14 KJV)
Take note:
Ask, and it will be given you;
Seek, and you will find;
Knock and it will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7, NKJV)
Shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always.
Pray without ceasing
Don’t give up
Pray
For the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much (James 5:16, NJV)
Don’t give in
Pray
To our God, our Father in Heaven for your loved ones
‘For with God all things are possible.’ (Mark 10:27)
God hears you
Pray.
And having done all,
to stand.
Thank you, Lord.
Amen.
