What do you think about the debate for this Friday and the proposed cancellation?

The more that the Republicans attempt to cordon off Obama the more they tangle themselves in their own noose.

It seems McCain has picked a perfect issue to head it off. The bailout. It appears legitimate. In the midst of the Presidential election the "Senators" should roll up their sleeves and help Congress. It shows concern.

The fact is McCain is not prepared to debate Obama. This meltdown, has once again proven that the Republican party allowed this fiasco to happen, because their focus has been one of personal enrichment for both themselves and their "friends."

Vice-President Chaney has made billions with his Halleburton company; Bush has continued to make private oil deals to be consumated with his father's friends, the Saudi Arabian family after he leaves office.

A depression is the best time to make money..for the rich. When Warren Buffet of Berkshire -Hathaway one of the smartest investors in America, whose biography I have read, just pumped five billion dollars into Wall street; you can bet he knows something we "little"people don 't know. Wish I had some money to invest just about now. This whole mortgage crisis albeit real is a distraction.

The indictment of several investment street mortgage Officers two months ago, augered this catastrophe. Yet no one was doing an analysis in the mainstream press.
Now we get to see just what four more years of Republican management of our tax dollars would entail.

Should the government bail out the banking industry? and is that a sufficient matter for the debate to be postponed so that the Senators can stop campaigning? Is McCain using this to his advantage? Since Sarah is not a Senator, will this give her an opportunity to run around talking to foreign dignitaries and use her ability as a so called "quick study" to try and gain attention by staging another trompe d'oeil ? a deliberate significant motion that will hold the public in a reluctant awe?

I think that it is a lot of hog wash and McCain is trying to steer to people away from his ignorance of him saying that the ecomomy has been stable and you and I know that its wasn't true then the next day he fired his financial advisor without even hearing the whole story of the matter. If you think that is the kind of person that I want leading me for the next four years then something is truly wrong. He is trying to stop Obama from exposing him that is the bottom line.

I agree with Spike Lee's comment, "McCain punked out."

I agree! Mccain's wanting to postpone the debate is a sign of weakness and Incompetance! He can't take the heat! Do we want a president who bails out when its crunch time or one who has better time management skills and the ability to handle more than one task at a time.

Its a cop out. McCain isn't ready to go toe to toe with Obama.

Nonsense is what I say. Why should McCain be given an easy way out? He's not the President so what does he need to do concerning the economy besides going on with the Friday debate as planned.
Didn't McCain bash Obama for not having the town hall meetings he proposed a few months ago? I suppose Palin will also be cancelling her debates with Biden for the same bogus reasons.

A tactic perceived is no tactic ! He's pulling at straws right now, but his military aggressiveness and appearing to be overly concerned, Didn't work for Obama.
He didn't fall for it.
The Maverick may as well get ready for a debate. ( could a no show be in the making ) ?
