No Such Thing As A Black Racist

David Hunter · Saturday, September 27th 2008 at 6:37PM · 455 views
I wish Black people would stop worring about being thought of or referred to as racist or bigot. We are handcuffing our creativity by censoring ourselves and other Black people for expressing "racist" ideas. A White racist is racist because of faulty ideas about blackness (physically and mentally) or, in light of Dr. Welsing's provocative theory, something in their psychological make-up. What we like to call black racism is a response, however indirect it may be, to white bigotry. Therefore it should never be placed on the same moral scale as white supremacy, which seemingly comes out of a vacuum. As I said in my book, we are allowing cowardly Black uncle toms and muddleheaded whites to redirect us to wimpish leaders when we run from black men wrongly labeled as racist. We must recover first from our spiritual poverty. At the risk of being cursed by all on this website, we depend too much on Jesus and not enough on each other. Jesus has done his job. Now it's time for us to do ours.

Anyone can be racist and black people don't have the market cornered on suffering. And I'd rather trust Jesus to help me discern WHICH "people" to trust that to just trust people.

There ARE times where calling us racist is not true, just as there are times when calling anyone of any race a racist is not true. However, racism is still very much alive in this country...very much alive. ...and it's a heartbeat from the presidency.

Blessings...
