Racism
Bigotry has various meanings, one of which is the discrimination of a group of people due to their race, color, and religion. In addition, racism is detestation for all races apart from one that is considered the master race. Racism stemmed from the past and is still active today. Racism in the past was purely violent especially in the early 20th Century. When slavery was abolished in America in 1865 racial anxiety settled in. As the free slaves, where permitted to move without restraint around the land a majority of the white population still saw them as slaves and did not want to mix with them. Fewer than half of the population supported the abolition of slavery. The South was a breeding ground for bigotry in the late 19th Century. Segregation was introduced in the 1920’s and 30’s. Blacks and whites were kept apart from each other. Sometimes there was a single white line between the races; the blacks were given poor atmosphere to reside in, while the whites had comfortable environment. People found crossing the line on both sides were given harsh punishments especially on the white side of the town. Lynching was a widespread punishment that was used many times by the white community, sometimes it was arranged.
Racial discrimination is an exceedingly difficult to control in today’s world, as we live in a rather democratic world people have a right to air their opinions. It is done in a responsive way, by allowing the groups or parties e.g. British National party to march, stage demonstrations and even speak. Laws have been passed making it against the law to be racially prejudiced to ethnic citizens. That has helped the society but still it exists in society today. As there has been assimilation between the races people have come to with the exception of it as a normal thing to happen. There are still some traditionalists today who still believe that the races should not integrate. There are scores of racist groups out in the world today. They mostly have the same belief, which is, that white people are the superior race and all the other groups. Others like the Aryan Brotherhood believe that the perfect race is white with blue eyes and blond hair. These hate groups are mainly found in America although some have sister groups in other countries.
One of the many issues that pledge the black communities is racism amongst each other. This is practice that was developed and mastered by Willie Lynch and past on to the slave masters. In the book, “The Willie Lynch Letter and The making of a Slave,” published by Lushena Books, stated that his purpose was to, “rate a diversified division of labor thereby creating different levels of labor and different values of illusions at each connecting level of labor, the results of which is the severance of the points of original beginnings for each sphere illusion” and this as held to be true from 1712 to present. We continually put down those who look like us because of their social-economical status, they talk different or their complexion is lighter or darker. This is something we must reverse.
If you are a minority in America you will or already have experienced a form of racism. It is a part of this great country called, “America.” It is more American than baseball and apple pie. It is an institution that still stands strong, with its chest out. No one can deny the effect racism has had on America; so we must do our best to stop it... to end racism we must be able to understand each other.

i think racism will always exist. the extreme way that is used to be portrayed is not as extreme today. it is definitely more subtle. i work with a home-based business that is affiliated with people of all races and other countries. our goal is to have everyone have their own internet-based business, and in turn create their own income and their own freedom to do what they want and when they want.
we all must create our own time for ourselves and let the racists live in their own negative world. racism is more a reflection of that person's lack of knowledge on the subject.
