The Coming of A Black President

Christopher Donshale Sims · Friday, October 10th 2008 at 10:53AM · 275 views
The time is here. We have arrived at a point in Ourstory that a man of color, dignity, honor, respect and intellect has come to serve this country. OK, yes, he's Black, but does that not include him in the dreams and progress of this country, our country?

Barack Obama has earned his way into Ourstory, into the halls of justice, serving we the people with passion, experience and focus. The coming of a Black president is here.

The race comments concerning Jeremiah Wright our now behind us. America struggled with swallowing words from a pastor who did not represent Obama's truest views. They tried to knock him down and out with the man's words, not his words, his own beliefs. If America can get beyond that, then American can accept Obama wholeheartedly. However, we are still dealing with major issues regarding race.

Obama is challenging America's stereotypes of what a Black man is, what a Black man is supposed to represent. The views of us on television are quite different from Obama's representation of an intelligent, classy, and sophisticated thinker who carries his African American brothers well through states in America that have not accepted us, even now, as human beings.

The coming of a Black President has come...

VOTE on November 4th! DO NOT wear Obama buttons, hats or t-shirts to the polls.

GIVE your neighbor a ride to the polls. Serve as a POLL WATCHER to make sure there is no funny business going on.

Yes, it is a good time to be Black in America, or around the world. Justice is coming in waves, so we will be the beneficiaries of a lot of it. Us, and all poor and disadvantaged people across the world. Barack has the vision, the voice, and the strength with us backing him.

After all that is happening to, for, against Barack Obama this week, I agree with what my best friend has been saying about Obama all of the time.

She says that obama was born at the right time, and place to save America from itself. And, that this economic crisis time has over rules 'racism' as it did today as related to McCain and Palin, I am a believer...Even those on FOX are saying that Obama will be our next president!

Almost forgot Christopher, we in this part of Calif. monitor all of the cable news channels. After McCain's being called by those who had backed him, but can not now do so because he has, "called up the Lynch mob mentality", he is retracting what he has said about Obama. And, on top of this, Palin being up for impeachment when she returns home, the only thing that the Republican party can do is to try and stop Congress from becoming 99% Democrat!

What a time to be a member of the Black race/community.(smile)
