So you just died and went to Heaven...now what?

So you just died and went to Heaven...now what?
Posted By: Curly Morris on August 16, 2008

I'm interested to know what 'exactly' do you as an individual belive is going to transpire when you arrive in heaven or hell for that matter. I mean specifically, not metaphorically.

Will you be on solid ground, gaseous air, will you be walking, floating? What will you be wearing. How old will you be? You know tangible answers.

I honestly am interested in knowing what people believe will ACTUALLY happen after death.

Don't run. Speak up. After all, you're betting your soul on the answer.

That's your answer baby boy? Find out when you get there? Would you will bet your life and eternal soul on 'find out when we get there'? Come on, you can do better than that. You have to have some idea or at least some 'hope'.

You didn't answer my question. I've been to church. In fact I grew up in church, I'm not impressed. I've traveled to over 33 countries on five continents and every religious person I meet has the same zealousness for their own faith and personal disdain for others. Now in today's age, many people have become more politically correct and their answers (much like yours) are more rooted in tolerance and acceptance. Still, the underlying and even more pressing question is if an individual centers their life around a particular ideology you think that they would have more than conjecture and mythology as a foundation to their beliefs. I personally have no idea what happens after death, but I'm not scared to admit that. That's what I call being honest. Not scared, never that. I've been shot twice and while I'm not using that as bravado, my point is that life is fleeting. You speak about what we have left to do here on earth, man you don't even know if we'll make it through the day. So if you DON'T make it through the day what to think you have to look forward to. That was and still is the original question. Player.

Also, props for at least engaging me in the debate. I appreciate your candor and willingness to go head up. It's never personal unless you take it personal.

Mr. Maxwell!

My point exactly!. But is it not the case that every theology does in fact give absolute answers to these very questions? Is it also not the case that most people who attend places of worship are indeed 'guaranteed' of a particular place and or circumstance in the after life?

Is it not better to say "I don't know' and keep searching rather than settling for an answer from an unqualified source? Like I said on another blog. How can I believe what someone who is 'living' says about 'death'.
Still, I'm interested to know if any so called believers can actually answer the questions I posed. So far none have come forth.
Now I know most people will just dismiss me as a heathen and/or demon, but I'm not the one running from the truth.

Corey:
No doubt. Still, I'd love to know what your thought are on the original questions. :)

I am trying to see if like minded people believe they are going to end up in the same place or are they all going somewhere different.

Very well stated.

So is it safe to say that you believe that the afterlife is nothing physical or tangible but rather something gaseous in nature?

Curley,

I love this post...it makes folks think. Sorry for my delayed response...I was off doing rather than just talking. This from the cell..so forgive the grammar/ spelling.

I believe that everything we have or know of was created as a test during this life. Sort of your opportunity to earn your time in what comes next. In the next life (heaven, hell, hereafter, etc...) there will be no time or space. Simular to the way your mind is simply a compilation of energy that forms to make you believe that the electirc functions are your singular or multiple personlity...the next life will be a function of energy without the shell. No gas, solids or liquids...just pure thought.

You summed it in the middle perfectly, Felicia: "I believe that what we believe matters and that what we do as a result of that belief matters as well. And that the judgement of God is coming upon all who are unrighteous."

I agree. "In my father's house are many mansions..." Sure, sounds sweet, doesn't it?

Curly, you said:

"...I've traveled to over 33 countries on five continents and every religious person I meet has the same zealousness for their own faith and personal disdain for others." EVERY RELIGIOUS PERSON??????????? Wow.

I notice that you describe those who are rooted in "tolerance and acceptance" as "politically correct." That's quite a skeptical outlook, IMO. Isn't it POSSIBLE that everyone who believes in God IS NOT JUDGING YOU because you don't believe? Are are we all just 'being nice' to you? Wow. I pray to God you're not THAT pessimistic.

Blessings...

The devil is alive! No one can speak on heaven. Those who can aren't speaking to us. Simple fact is, you either believe in heaven and hell or you don't. There is no use in debating it because no one who can debate knows. You can go back and forth over and over and you still will not know until the day you die. You do not, I repeat, you do not have to believe in hell to burn for an eternity in its fires.

The devil is hard at work.

So according to some of the believers here, Heaven is indeed another planet. I assume in another galaxy, solar system or universe somewhere. Let us discuss that further in another blog.

Thanks for the comments.

Heaven has never been a place that I wanted to be. I like to dislike some people... not associate with others...even hate them if I choose to do so... agree-not agree, and so on and so forth. Being happy, content, at peace and even just being around a lot of people is not any thing that I want in this or the next life.

I demand freedom of choice; I guess a lot llike Eve in the GARDEN as she did not take 'orders' very well either???????(smile)

...sorry, I meant being happy "all the time". This is why I like winter during the summer(or air conditioner) summer in winter(using heater) and things like that. All things in its right time to be in existance at that CORRECT time but not just the same old same old...so just send me to hell and not allow me to pass heaven.

It is beyond me that we are so will ing to accept the "answer" while at the same time we have no question or even any interest of how it will be used in our daily lifes or not be able to be used at all.

Now what is the definition of mind control- being under the influence of a drug..bias,,,ignorance..idiotic......and so one and so forth?????!!!!!????

What a waste of brain space.
