What's with all the Atheism? (613 hits)

I've noticed Atheism trending among the black community at an alarming rate. Or, at least I'm hoping it's a trend.

God was with us when we prayed for deliverance from slavery. He was with us when we fought for our civil rights. I see many prosperous black people in the community now than ever before thanks to God's blessings and despite widespread syndicated efforts to tarnish the black people, we remain strong. However this will be short lived if we continue to blasphemy and renounce his name. In my opinion this so called freethinkers movement is dangerous. What would our ancestors say if they could see us now... Now that things are going well for us and we developed a voice of our own in America, how easily we forgot the bruised knees and tears of blood when we cried out to him through our suffering.

We used to acknowledge him publicly, now people are afraid to even bless a fallen piece of chicken through the 10 second rule. Remember when you used to kiss it up to God and pray that it was still safe to eat? We were so thankful for life, family, culture, and love back then. What happened to us.

Hi Irma. Not quite what I meant but in response to your statement I believe our nature is peaceful as well, no doubt about that. There are many tribal nations in Africa who demonstrate this on the regular. No bombs, no military, (or rocket launchers lol) sometimes not even agriculture. There is an episode of Man vs Food when Andrew Zimmerman met the Juntwasi of the Kalahari.They live peacefully off the land that God gave them and take what they need from it, no more no less. We shouldn't discriminate against their culture and call them inferior because they refuse assimilation according to western idealistic society but I hear it a lot, how tribes are disadvantaged because they choose to live off the land God gave them.

Hello Ms.Failis,

God meant for human-beings to do more than just live off the land. Animals were design to just live of the land. There is no different between an African tribe living off the land and horses living off the land it that is how you see it because the African tribe is behaving as an animal.

Human-beings were design to operate and cure the ills of his own human body and an animal can do that because it wasn�t design too.

Ms. Failis, you don�t know anything about God unless you learnt it from your very own prophet and your prophet must be your race.
