Trump declines invitation to speak at NAACP convention - White House

Breaking news alert:

WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump has declined an invitation to address the annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said on Wednesday.

Trump also declined to speak at the NAACP convention last year because it coincided with the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, where he was formally nominated. Previous Republican presidential nominees regularly attended the annual meetings of the oldest U.S. civil rights organization.

I wonder why Trump did not come to speak at the NAACP this year, what did he have to lose?

I remember during Trump's campaign, Trump pledged to improve the lives of black Americans, who voted overwhelmingly in favor of his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump never did go into detail about how his going the improve the lives of Black American but he did know that their was some Black Americans that would vote in his favor anyway. He said: "What Do You Have To Lose!!!"
