Q&A With Dr. J. Elisha Burke

How Do You Plan To Finish This Year Strong?
"..by being as healthy (in every way) as can be"

Interviewed by Chris Gloss 08/01/10

What's your opinion on the general state of music?
"It is evolving as people evolve and adapt to the current issues in their lives."

Interviewed by Joseph Edwards 08/01/10

What is your motivation?
"contributing something of value to the life of others..."

Interviewed by Rey Harris 08/01/10

What do you value most in a potential friend?
"This is a thought provoking question. I've had very few real friends and I just lost my closest one to death. When I think about that 10 year friendship, I realize that the friendship started with his being self-confident enough to take the time to know me and accept that without reservation. So, I value the self-confidence and acceptance of individual differences that comes with maturity."

Interviewed by Ty Dancy 08/17/08

Hello, I hope this message isn't too abrasive, just wondering if you'd do me the favor of checking out my new album at www.je-music.com. I'm a 20 year old saxophonist from MD. The album is a blend of gospel, jazz, and r&b, and has received great reviews from luminaries such as Kirk Whalum and Marcus Miller. If this message offends in any way, please accept my most humble apologies...just trying to get word out about the album. Thanks for the time... --Joe www.je-music.com

My pastor (Rev. Cornelius Wheeler) also graduated from Virginia Union (S. DeWitt Proctor) in 2005 I believe. When did you graduate? My MDIV is from Howard.
