I have been doing racism work for many years now. I went to the Dr. King Center for Non=violence, for the weeks trng. Had to return, the 1st time didn't work. I'm not sure it worked the 2nd time or I just didn't want anyone to make me go back because I was too slow to get it. I have done union construction & maintenance for 30 yrs. Have 1st hand knowledge of how the racist system works, and refused to play the games. Many black men didn't like the fact I was there also, probably because I didn't play the bow down game and it made them look & feel bad. I have recently had an encounter w/the federal prison system, the guard told me I had to leave and i told him i needed to see the warden. It got somewhat ugly and they called th city cops on me. but guess what happened, the group finally stood up and said the system had lied and I hadn't done anything. I have their names and phone #s and will be contacting a civil lawyer at the suggestion of the police officer. So many times we don't get what we can have because we are afraid to stand up. I see that you're a Business Admisistration Major.
Hell, it seems to me that with your brains...and I am inpressed! you should as a suggestion open up some type of business that would provide your people with the only thing that is important in this country...GREEN. Thats right G-R-E-E-N.

Doc,
You think ...that after alllllllllll this education, what is it that you are trying to prove? Do you think that your vast knowledge and expertise might be better served without being consummed about race. We are all children of the Most High God. What difference does it make if whites arent white or blacks are the majority. whats the point.
As an educated man...is this it?
Cure cancer...
Cure High Blood Pressure...Diabetes.
You're obviously blessed with an abundance of knowledge and learned education.

In response to whether we are black or white, I found a research outcome article about James Watson. He claimed that whites are more intelligent than blacks, and his DNA results slam dunked him into a corner! You are so right about the term 'minority.' How sad it is that we refuse to take our place in the community, more so, our place in the world and start working together towards goals we need to achieve. We allow others to 'trample' us and seem to accept whatever dishonor and bad omen that is set by others around us.
I learned that people are scared to have me as supervisor, of a friend of their husband, or as mother in law of their 'white' daughter, who is only fair skinned, but black for the most part (DNA-wise). When we are ready to leave this craziness behind, we will see the results of our high profiled intelligence, on all levels!!! Until then I just do my part....

thanks for you list of articles, I will check them later, have a funeral today, need to get ready, got up this morning writing a letter requesting an investigation regarding some church activities evolving around racial issues. I'm looking forward to talking w/you more. I'm the Human Relations & Leadership Dir. of the EPA (Eastern Pa.) United Methodist Church. One of my task is to facilitate the Healing the Wounds of Racism Workshop, all clergy and leaders are required to take the training. One of the things we need to discuss is white is not biological. It is a contrived catagory to become majority. All europeans were lumped into the group and lost their individual identy and much of their culture, to become the dominant body of people. Rev. Dr. Glover, I just got through reading some of your responses to the "Blacks and Homosexuality" blog. I agree with your position that people must research and understand the bible for themselves. God blessed us with a mind of our to think with for that very purpose, I believe. So many people have had hands in writing the bible (Old and New Testament) along with "revisions" down through the ages. Not to mention the numerous translations (gives creedence to the saying "lost in translation"). How can we not try to understand the bible for ourselves? I have been rebuffed for this position by those who would say, "God, the omnipotent being, wouldn't let his word be corrupted." I try to remind them that pieces of the bible are missing and that it has been historically proven that passages in the bible have been changed by kings and high ranking clergyman for their own purposes. I am dismissed as less than faithful. Its not God that I lack faith in, its the intentions of people. I believe everyone must find their own truth in the word by maintaining a personal relationship with God. Anyways, that's my two cents and I applaud your willingness to take on the subject. As a victim of abuse mostly mental, not too much physical and not to say one is the lesser of the other. This blog really has caused me to think more on this issue then what I originally want to say. There are so many issues that lead into this and to be honest there is no real reason for abuse only excuses. I am going to put all my thoughts on paper only because there is so much to say.
